I'm having issues with importing GPX into the Tread app, I've never had this happen before.
I made a route on calimoto's website and I exported it as GPX, transferred that GPX to my iPhone and when I click "Share" the Tread app is not there, I was like okay let me try directly from the Tread app.
Open Tread -> Saved -> Three Dots -> Import Data (GPX) and the GPX file in my File Manager is greyed out.
Anyone dealing with this?
This is my route

Routes that have been created using the Tread App and then exported from tread as as a GPX file - you might think that these would work OK ? Not so. It has issues importing its own GPX files - the import process changes the routes - but at least it reads them.
Using Calimoto, Google and other sources of gpx file - you are working very hard in order to get it to fail. There's no need. It can do that all by itself.
You need a good point of reference. Get rid of the Tread App from your phone. Reset the XT2 to factory conditions. Start again. Don't install Tread on your phone - or if you do, then do not let it save data or synch (you do get that option). Then see how it behaves with your routes.
Calimoto - I don't think I have ever tried that. But Google Map routes often create problems for even the early Zumos.

Have owned Zumo 550, 660 == Now have Zumo XT2, XT, 595, 590, Headache
Use Basecamp (mainly), MyRouteApp (sometimes), Competent with Tread for XT2, Can use Explore for XT - but it offers nothing that I want !
Links: Zumo 590/5 & BC . . . Zumo XT & BC

It worked a few months ago, I've imported many GPX files from all sorts of websites. And it also worked for another guy in a thread that I created here.jfheath wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2025 12:05 am Routes that have been created using the Tread App and then exported from tread as as a GPX file - you might think that these would work OK ? It's an iPhone bug, I hope it gets sorted out soon.
It's a navigation device, if it doesn't accept GPX files then what's the point of it? Why not fight for more features and updates from Garmin? Should everything stay the same as when released? No, let's get the most of our devices with features being added with updates.
I don't really like the app nor the device itself for creating big routes, it sometimes chooses bad roads, especially in the Balkans since it's not that commonly used. I prefer to create my big routes on calimoto or on Google Maps.
No point in resetting the zumo XT2 since I literally didn't use it here to demonstrate this, it's sitting in my tank bag at home, why would you even suggest that?
