Update to XT taking forever

Started this morning at abt 1100 an update, it is now 1700 hrs and there are still 12hrs to go….

Connected via wifi, but is this normal???

My XT is weird when it comes to downloading updates via WiFi. I can't explain it, but if I have Bluetooth enabled, the download never seems to happen. If I toggle Bluetooth OFF, then updates download and install in a fairly reasonable amount of time.

I have no idea why it behaves that way, but that's been my experience.

Bluetooth can interfere and slow some WiFi speeds to almost zero on some devices. I had this issue on a phone once, if I wanted to connect to my home router I needed to toggle BT off. My tablet worked fine with BT on.

I keep forgetting that WiFi and BT are both in the 2.4GHz spectrum. I remember now I used to have problems with a bluetooth headset on my laptop when the only wireless I could connect to was 2.4GHz. Thanks for the reminder, it's a bit less aggravating knowing this!
