how to use Garmin Tread on a PC

Tenho o Zumo XT2 e consigo fazer as transferências do Basecamp como mencionado acima, mesmo aparecendo a mensagem "não compatível".

Pesquisei e encontrei um programa muito bom, feito na Noruega. É o MyRoute-app Web link: https://www.myrouteapp.com
com integração entre PC e iPhone, com varias opções de mapas e com exportação e importação entre Bascamp e Zumo XT2. Mesmo na versão gratuita é bem interessante.
Como gostei bastante, acabei comprando a versão "Toda Vida" com mais opções e bem completo, inclusive com navegação no iPhone.

I have a Zumo XT2 and I can make transfers from Basecamp as mentioned above, even though the message "not compatible" appears.

I did some research and found a very good program, made in Norway. It's called MyRoute-app Web link: https://www.myrouteapp.com
with integration between PC and iPhone, with several map options and with export and import between Basecamp and Zumo XT2. Even the free version is very interesting.

Since I liked it so much, I ended up buying the "Toda Vida" version with more options and very complete, including navigation on the iPhone.

Today when I played around on the internet i found this - "Tread on PC"

I knew about this "Android emulator for PC" but I have never felt need fore use it - yet.

My most concern about using Tread is the fact that transfer to XT2 needs first to be transferd to a account on Garmin Explore cloud. Why in earth do Garmin force us to load data into there servers?!! I have thou never liked the idea to spread al my digital tracks into different clouds and web sights that needs accounts logging. Maybe using my personal stuff selling it to AI-companies making loads of money on my account.´I knew I most probably already am deeply down in this creek but want to struggle as long as I live.

It´s probably easy fore Garmin to set up a direct Wifi or BT -link from/to Tread on celphone/Tab/iPad.

But fore those who don´t mind that detour to Explore - this "Tread on PC" might be useful - if it works.

You don't need to use Tread or Basecamp, "Tyre 2 Navigate" does it all on a PC perfectly well, and will communicate with your XT2

Is Tyre to Navigate the software from which MyRouteApp was developed ?

That may or may not be correct - but it doesn't help answer the original poster's concerns. He likes using Basecamp and he want to make it work with the XT2. That is not such a ridiculous request.

I like Basecamp. I also occasionally use MyRouteApp. A long time back I investigated a program called 'Tyre' and I was not impressed with it and I didn't give it any more consideration. The issue is that any program that creates a gpx file, or that sends a gpx file, to the XT2 - will have problems making it work effectivley. On this forum we have identified and solved many of those issues.

Looking at the tyre2navigate web page, it seems to be much update from the original 'Tyre' or 'TyretoTravel'. I'll have to take a look at it to see what it does.
