I have a samsung galaxy s24 ultra running the Garmin Tread app, paired with a zumo xt2.
With the tread app running on my phone, the zumo xt2 does not auto connect when it is turned on.
After I turn on the Zumo XT2, what I need to do is go into the phone settings on the device and click "Connect".
I'm trying to figure why it just doesn't reconnect on it's own, automatically.
Any comments/suggestions would be appreciated. Thx.

For what it is worth, my Samsung S22 reconnects to my XT2 automatically without issue. I have eliminated the Tread app from my setup entirely however.

I've had similar issues with this latest version of the Tread App (Version: 2.09.63). I had to disconnect and reconnect Bluetooth to get it to connect properly. In my experience, that is common when changing something BT related.
The solution has always been to break the connection and any knowledge of previous connections
AND prevent any other nearby BT device from connecting first

Have owned Zumo 550, 660 == Now have Zumo XT2, XT, 595, 590, Headache
Use Basecamp (mainly), MyRouteApp (sometimes), Competent with Tread for XT2, Can use Explore for XT - but it offers nothing that I want !

I have Tread on 2 devices: a Samsung Active5 tablet and a OnePlus 13 phone. If both devices have their Bluetooth on the XT2 seems to automatically connect to the first device shown in the Phone list on the XT2. That is usually the Active5 tablet. With the Active5 Bluetooth off I always have to manually connect to the OnePlus 13. Occasionally, for some unknown reason the XT2 will decide that the OnePlus 13 should be first in the phone list and then the XT2 will automatically connect if the OnePlus 13 has its Bluetooth on.
I would like to see the XT2 have the ability to manually select the phone list order
