590 starts music on iPhone as soon as connected (BT)

Hi Guys,

I've had my 590 for a number of years now and have randomly (more often than not) had my phone start playing music as soon as the 590 switches on and connects. It plays either to itself (speaker), the Zumo (only heard if in the car mount) or my Sena 20S headset if it's currently connected.
I've never managed to pin down the actual cause. Anyone else seen this or is it me just being stupid?

I have an apples to oranges comparison. The music on my phone starts playing when I get in my work vehicle that I have Bluetooth connection to. It automatically connects to the phone when I start it up and the phone will go ahead and start playing from my phone based music playlist. This only happens if I've shut off the car and the Bluetooth is connected to media. It's in my mind, a convenience that was set up so your music just starts. I believe it to be more phone-based than unit based.

Perhaps that's the same basic scenario for your 590? A very uneducated guess on my part.

Yeah that's kind of my suspicion, just can't get a handle on it. It doesn't appear to be returning to the last state (playing or not) as I always stop any playback before disconnecting anything.
Just wondered if it was just me.

Again, it's the apple/orange comparison, but I stop playback as well with the car, but it still starts the music up the next time around. So no, it's not just you.

To stop the Auto music change the settings for music to aux-jack plug rather than Bluetooth

But that disables music entirely. I just want it to not play music in my pocket when I power up the sat nav.
