Scroll Buttons

Post by Pockets »

Hi, Your expertises is required once again, just connected my sumo to the computer and updated all the maps, put it back on the bike and have lost the ability to scroll, if I select favourites it shows the first four ( in alphabetical order) but the scroll down button does nothing, if I press the up button it goes into “Spell” mode. Also I cannot select any after the “were to screen” ( only the first six) if I press the up button it goes in “Near”.
I’m guessing there is a reset on there somewhere, your advise will be more than welcome.

OK forget that one, its sorted its self out, no idea what happened but it just started working properly. Next problem, the battery is completely knackered, but unfortunately somebody has tried to take the little screw out of the battery and managed to round it off!! I have priced a new battery and can get a replacement for about £14, but its no good if I cannot get the old one off. So here we go again as anyone got any idea how to remove the damaged screw.

The screw's an odd size socket head. 2 mm is loose and 2.5 won't go. If you have Torx screwdrivers you could try a T9.
Do you get a replacement screw with the new battery?

I haven’t bought a new battery yet, I’ll persevere with this one until I can get the screw out. Is not a big deal not having a working battery, just like to use without having it connected all the time.

If you do get a replacement battery the screw is a 3 mm x 6 mm long but it has a reduced depth head. I've got a spare if you cannot source one.

Kernowing Can I take up the offer of the replacement screw, I have made a real mess of the old one, had to drill it out in the end. I’ve ordered a new battery it should be here later this week, I’m going on a week long tour of Scotland in two weeks so hopefully everything should be sorted by then. If I send you a PM with my address will that be ok
Thanks
Paul
