A quarter of the price of the official Garmin XT case, these are hard cases that offer good protection, come in 2 sizes that will fit, the 5inch and 6 inch.

Designed for Tomtom but fit the XT

With the 6 inch the XT will fit in the mesh pocket, the 5 inch it will only fit under the elastic but the case is smaller to take up less room (see photos)

The official Zumo case is a hard case that offers great protection, similar to the ones pictured above.
A soft case would probably be plenty of protection.

The official case is just like the 590 / 595 case except it fits the XT. I did try fitting it into my old 590 case and it didn't fit. The official case is really nice and good quality. Just a shame it wasn't included with the unit.
