all favourites on map

Post by mastercore »

I am wanting to use my Zumo XT to navitage trails offroad shared over the TET network.
These are GPX files

I found it very easy to load my desired file onto the Zumo and then show it on the map.
Was also able to show multiple routes on the map and also colour them differently for easier reading.

Problem is the waypoints.
The GPX file contains waypoints, but they do not appear on the route.
I found where I can see them: in the favourtes section.
Problem is that I can only select and see one of them at a time on the map.

What I want to do is to be able to see them passively on the main map screen (not navigating)
Is there a way to achieve this?

many thanks in advance for any assistance

Look at Settings, Map & Vehicle, Map layers. See what you have listed. I don't have a XT but you may find a layer there that will help.

map layers won't put favourites on the map, best way of doing it would be to put your favourites into a POI (points of interest) file and load them into the XT with POI Loader

My favourites show if I select the up ahead map layer, but I don't have a XT, hence my comment.

You say that you can see the favourites on the unit, have you imported into the unit?
You need to go 'where to' = 'Favourites' = top left of screen 3 horizontal lines select then import.
Hope that helps.

software to upload Poi's (Points of Interest) into your Garmin, ie speed camera alerts etc, it's Garmin software and readily available to download for free from Garmins site

The points were already in a GPX file with a route
The Zumo XT made favorites out of these points.
I can navigate to individual points in favorites, but to show them all on the map is what would suite me best.

I am riding off road and these way points are often warning of danger/difficult terrain ahead.

Thanks for the tips guys
