Not saying this must explain the difference, but often with Garmin devices different locales have different options :D

I think this problem started with the 2.7 firmware update. I'm sure the change of speed limit alarms could be turned off before the update.

Not with Australian maps. The issue was there out of the box, as it came from Garmin.

I have software version 2.7 and as I said in my earlier post it works just fine.
Tested it on the road again today.

And I can choose 20 over, 15 over, 10 over, 5 over, at the speed limit or OFF.
Also, choose differently for citytraffic or outside.
Where exactly are you getting these options?
I must have checked all menu items on my XT and I just cannot locate these...

Worth repeating what I said above in case folks missed it. It's not unusual for different options to be available depending on which locale is selected, so just because one device has an option it doesn't mean they all do.

As I found recently, not all apps or options are available all the time depending on what settings are chosen.

Got my XT last Thursday. And I can choose 20 over, 15 over, 10 over, 5 over, at the speed limit or OFF.
Also, choose differently for citytraffic or outside.
Skipper, can you tell us what menu page these options are listed on? Thanks.

Also Skipper, I see that you are from Sweden, what maps do you have installed on your XT?
