Any way to wirelessly transfer routes?

Post by adm »

From either BaseCamp or any other 3rd party routing software to the XT without having to plug it in?

I know I can transfer directions to a location via Garmin drive on my phone, but can routes be sent wirelessly any way?

I think the answer is.....no, but given the thing has Bluetooth and WiFi.....

Firstly I do not do this myself, but have seen it discussed on other forums.
The My Route App can transfer routes to the XT via Garmin Drive.
Some guys email a route from basecamp to their phone, then share the attachment to Garmin drive and then the XT.
Finally routes from one XT can be shared via wifi with another I believe.
There are some good Dutch & UK forums where people are discussing these very topics.

Done it with iPhones, but never tried with Android.

Basically if you have the Garmin Drive app running, you can share your route file to it (Garmin Drive) from your choice of routing app and it will be loaded in the correct directory on the XT.
