Locking device for the XT

Post by Skipper »

I am contemplating buying the Locking device sold by Waypoint in Holland.

Seems less bulky and smarter than the Touratech lock which is plain ugly.

Anyone that has any experience of this lock.
Seems to me that it should be OK for leaving the GPS on the bike for
short periods of time when you are nearby.

It also takes care of the odd chanse that you accidently release the GPS
during travelling.

The Zumo Lock I had for my Zumo 595 was excellent and easy to use.
I ordered the Zumo Lock for my new XT about two months ago, but have not received it yet.

It took a few weeks but I finally received my Zumo lock for the XT. Very well made, a 10 min install & excellent design! Highly recommended! :D

I'm waiting for the touratech bracket release, I would like to see it before to choose one. Is there another different option?

This is what the bracket will look like https://www.techgear.cz/zamykatelny-drz ... 2/?cid=405 very similar to the mount for the Zumo 396. The unit is due at the end of the month.

I use the Waypoint Locking device on my XT. It does what it is supposed to do, and is well built.

Zumo Lock shipped it out to California within a week.

The US Post Office tracked down my package, and it is sitting in Customs in NY City.
Evidently they are understaffed and busy.
