Re: Locking device for the XT
Has anyone used the Zumo Lock XT with the Evotech mount for the Zumo xt? Any issues or problems?

Re: Locking device for the XT
No happy about my XT not being very safe and secure while on the bike ,ie at petrol station /paying for the fuel, all it needs is a quick press of the mount clip and it's off and away by some vilian
To act as a deterrent and make it harder to be stolen, I decided to make a simple and cheap solution.
The idea is that the clip can't be pushed down to release the XT from the mount, plus I added a tether for extra security.
Took about a hour to make , a bit crude but effective , if anyone interested in how it's made let me know.

I canceled the order for zumo lock, very good solution and cheap, where did I get the right parts? I understand that I can also use suitable Hinges.

I think you should do a separate post with how you made it

Re my DIY lock for the XT
Thanks for the comments.
I'm away up to Scotland till next week , so on my return the lock would have been put to the test .
On my return I'll post how I made the lock to help others who are interested in making one

Yes, it’s that easy. In my pocket it goes when I’m out of sight of my bike so, no need to worry about villains.woodyflyer wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 10:30 pm... all it needs is a quick press of the mount clip and it's off and away...
Re: Locking device for the XT
Not a locking device but an easy and cheap way to have Zumo XT securely attached to the mount: I just bought RAM rubber strap (RAM-HOL-UN10TU), se attached photos. Works great

I think that looks like a great solution for those who feel they need a tether. I was concerned the rubber straps would cover the corners of the screen but, it looks fine. And unlike a tether you don’t have to glue anything to the back of the XT.
Re: Locking device for the XT
