450 Can't Unlock Maps

Whoops - I may have crashed my Zumo 450.

Bought this 450 a few months back. It had Canada loaded on the 450 internal memory and it had USA loaded on the SD Card.

I tried the cloning method to update it first. I removed the SD card and used a different SD card to run Express and update the maps. But, after that the only maps that got updated were Canada. The USA maps weren't downloaded or updated. When I tried to run Map Install it said there were no unlockable maps.

So, I replaced the SD card with the original (2020.x) SD card with the USA maps. Now, when I ran Map Install the SD card came up as an unlockable map and I was able to run the install using Map Install. The install of the USA maps 2021.2, worked to completion. But when I turn on the 450, I get a message that it Can't Unlock Maps. The only map that shows up now on the 450 is the Canada mapset.

How do I get my US maps unlocked???

Never Mind. I was going to delete my post but I decided to put the solution here in case others have a "forgetful moment".

The problem here was, I never ran Express with my 450 attached to the PC in order to get a current unlock file placed on the Zumo. I looked back at my notes and I saw that I skipped the step where you attach the Zumo 450 and run Express using the computer only option. Since the new map was already installed on my PC this step only took a couple of minutes and once completed, I could now run Map Install and load the new maps to the Internal storage and to the SD card.

The 450 and 550 are oddball devices because they don't have enough internal storage to load the maps now, so Map Install is needed to split the map across the two storage options.
