Hi all! I’m looking at ordering the Zumo XT
Long story short I have the TT rider 550 here in front of me I bought 2 days ago and will be return it the Bluetooth constantly drops out so without jumping through hoops for workarounds there’s no way to get live traffic and safety cameras such as speed cameras and mobile speed cameras
They are 2 of the main reasons I wanted a dedicated sat nav
Before ordering the Zumo XT I hope some of you can answer a couple of simple questions for me ?
Does it come with life time maps for Europe or is that a up charge / subscription ?
Real time traffic and speed cameras etc are they free or is it subscription based / a up charge ?
I like the weather options on the Zumo and I also like the media options.
Can you use Spotify through it ?
I use a cardo freecom 4 for my headset if that counts for anything.
Any advice for the above or anything I should be aware of before I order ?
Thanks everyone advance

Re: Pre purchase user questions
I had the same experience. I change the TT550 for the XT
About the bluetooth, i thik the Garmin system is so much better. Is double channel, the NAV manage the connection and not the Interphone.
Whit Midland BTX2 i have no problem. One more things, there is a mixer to manage the volume, Navigation info, Multimedia, Alert.
Spotify you can use it on the phone and listen, but is not on the Nav.
Europe maps is lifetime, Garmin speed camera also.
After 5 month i can say, i'm happy about the change.
Only i saw that the TT maps is a little bit more detailed, but i resolve because on the XT you can install also the OSM maps.

Weather and real time traffic info etc is provided via your phone and the appropriate Garmin app.
Lifetime map updates is for as long as Garmin support it, so not necessarily for as long as you own it.

I went from a Zumo 595 to the XT and love it.
I've had several Garmin M/C nav units over the years starting with a Streetpilot 3 and the XT is by far the best I've had, the screen is fantastic.

Andrew_XT How did you find Garmin's traffic data vs TomTom or other sources (eg Waze)?
