gpx files

Post by sprint »

I have created a route in Basecamp with around 20 non alerting points which has then been saved as a gpx file.

I have then e-mailed this to a friend who is using an earlier Garmin GPS. He has downloaded it and checked that the route is OK?

My question is that as a gpx file, will the non alerting points have been transferred such that the GPS should/will follow the route as prescribed or can/will it just take any route between the start and destination points that are alerting?

Well assuming his device can use shaping points it should work as planned. Which device does he have?

He has the predecessor to the 396/346 series GPS.
