I like to tour with the GPS and have intricate routes using many shaping points.
For years I fought a rear guard action with the old Basecamp version and old Google earth but they have finally caught up with me and switched off these functions. Now you have to save the route and transfer it to GE, but I just cant get it to track a path. All I get is several waypoints not connected. Any help please

KML's are not available for me to choose. More reading gets to why all this was turned off - you need the spyware Chrome! I presume you need to run it live from there and not the standalone program. Hence giving more spying opportunities

Chrome isn't involved.
In BaseCamp select route in lower left hand pane. Then file, export, export selection. At bottom click on drop down list titled Save as type. Select kml. Then save it. Open that kml file in GE.
