This seems not only an Cardo/Garmin-XT (compatibility?) problem. And as it worked in previous firmware version of the XT, Garmins should be able, if willing, to solve this. I also don't expect Cardo releasing a firmware update, as they haven't done so in a long time (despite there being known bugs)
edit: I ment 'not only'

Re: Phone call quality
It would appear to not be solely a Cardo / XT problem.
As I suspected my Sena unit performed exactly the same today when I took it out for its first trial.
The ring volume was stupidly loud and when I answered the crackling was extensive.
Has anyone tried their comms unit connected directly to the phone and disabling calls to the XT??

Re: Phone call quality
Yes
Between the cardo and the phone it is perfect
Add in the XT and its useless!
I am wondering if it is a conflict with having the phone connected to the headset as well as the XT
Re: Phone call quality
I do not have my phone paired with my Freecom and I still have the problem. I am running 6.20 on the XT.
If I connect the phone to the Freecom and make a call, it works just fine.
So we have Cardo and Sena users having this issue. Hmmm. Me thinks the XT might be the problem....
Re: Phone call quality
Likewise, I do not have my phone connected to the Sena, only to the XT so I would agree that this issue seems to be caused by the XT.

Re: Phone call quality
I think we all need to report this to Garmin and get as many people as possible to do the same!
Re: Phone call quality
I've emailed Garmin re this issue. I'll let you know when/if I get a response.
Re: Phone call quality
I emailed them with all the details too. We'll see if they think it is a problem on their side, or if they will point their finger at the headset manufacturers (probably the latter).
Re: Phone call quality
I have noticed the same problem so what I did was to pair my Sena 50s to the phone and the xt but did not pair the phone to the xt. Everything works. I do not need the additional features that phone and xt pairing bring to the table. I think part of the problem is that having a phone call go from phone to xt and then xt to send 50s or any other bluetooth connection adds signal degradation.
Re: Phone call quality
Has anyone received a reply from Garmin yet regarding this issue.
No response at my end!!
