Re: Saving Route to folder on desk top
You most certainly can! I do it all the time. Here's how I do it:
- I went to my Documents and made a new folder and named it "Base Camp Routes and Points".
- in the Base Camp (BC) info box, I highlight the route or point I want to EXPORT. I pick one at a time rather than picking a whole list.
- In BC, select FILE at the top then EXPORT then EXPORT SELECTION. Navigate to your newly made folder in documents and save it.
Do you know how to make a shortcut icon on your desktop so you can go to your new folder quickly?

Re: Saving Route to folder on desk top
Why would you need to import them back? Exporting saves a copy per se, it does not remove the route or waypoint from Base Camp.
But if come across other peoples' route you may want to import, under the FILE command in BC there's an IMPORT option too. Select an existing LIST FOLDER to put it in, then FILE/IMPORT INTO list folder name.
