Route info, but not on route

Post by Fallguy67 »

Friday morning on the way to work I noticed something on my XT I haven't seen before. I was not using a route, but in the green status bar it had Work and estimated time of arrival and traffic info.

I had not put in Work as a destination and I don't have a saved route/trip for home to work.

The next morning on the way home (I work 24 hour shifts) I was curious to see if it would do the same thing going home, but it didn't,

However, Sunday morning going to work, It had the info for work again and this morning it did give me info for going home.

If I press the green status bar it will bring up route info

If I pressed Go it would bring up the route and I could stop it if I chose to.

Anyway, kinda curious if anyone else has experienced this. Also if anyone may know why? It is connected to my phone, which when it Bluetooth connects to my truck will usually make Google Maps pop with an estimated time to work or home.

It's not really a problem, almost kinda handy, just didn't know it would do this.

Yes, most modern Garmin devices will look at routes you drive regularly and offer up details to you. It's called MyTrends, see here
