Current Basecamp is 4.7.4 (PC) https://www.garmin.com/en-GB/software/basecamp/
Current Express is 7.8.1.0
Current software for Z590 is 3.30

Current WIndows is 10 - but if you managed to keep Win7 going without accidentally installing 10, that is a neat trick.
Have owned Zumo 550, 660 == Now have Zumo XT2, XT, 595, 590, Headache
Use Basecamp (mainly), MyRouteApp (sometimes), Competent with Tread for XT2, Can use Explore for XT - but it offers nothing that I want !

I installed the latest version of GA, downloaded maps. Still have the same issue, I cant see my subscription maps without the GPS plugged into the PC. I did get to a screen to "unlock" my maps but there is no way to unlock it.

You haven't yet answered my questions which may help us help you:

Are the maps ones that came originally on your device or did you add them later? If so how and what maps were they? The instructions you posted above refers to handhelds.

If they came with the device from new they won't appear in purchased maps.

I paid for a lifetime set of maps many years ago. They did not come on a particular GPS.

Ah ok, I understand now and why Garmin would have had to resolve this. It's why complete information needs to be given when seeking help as had that been known at the start our help could have been correctly targeted.
