Syncing in general can be done several way's.
IT can be done by "Stupid" compare files (by doing a calculate over a file) or by a ticker flag (that state this file is changed) or a combination of both.
How Garmin does this !?!?!
Making it more difficult is that where normally sync between 2 devices, here we have 3 (ZUMO, your mobile, Garmin cloud).
And even more the tread app that also does change the file.
What is strange is that there normally should be nothing to sync, since nothing is changing !
The only thing I can think of is the current route !
So my question is : does this also happens when riding without a active route, just riding without routing ?
And if not what happens it you ride to address (and not a saved GPS route)
It happens always the syncing is activated. No matters if there is active route or not. If Tread App is activated with syncing, problems start.

Good idea. I think you could give advice to the Garmin engineers.

Has anyone else reported this problem to Garmin? What solutions have they offered you? The only thing they have told me is to "disable synchronization while this problem is solved." Basically, it's like saying "use cable like in the 90s" lol
I've done some more testing, and when XT2/Tread App/Android Mobile have Explore cloud sync enabled...
- As soon as we add enough imported tracks through the Tread app, the synchronization seems to become more unstable. Sometimes the app disconnects from the XT2 asking you to "reconnect to Tread App" in our Explore library bar on the XT2.
- Likewise, it seems to disconnect the bluetooth connection between XT2/phone/intercom, causing the bluetooth connections to reboot every few minutes.
I think there is a lot of development work to be done on Tread App to make the connectivity reliable. It is unfortunate that users have to suffer this

I have recorded a video where you can see the problem described. Everything installed from 0, Tread App with synchronization active. A random track downloaded from wikiloc is imported, and a call is then made (without a call synchronization and bluetooth are also interrupted).
As seen in the video, the Bluetooth connection of the phone and the intercom is cut off for about 10 seconds, and is reestablished. The same goes for syncing with Tread and the Explore cloud. It is a disaster of syncing and bluetooth connectivity.
