Agreed. I have been bugging @FrankB with every program niggle and behavior change preference that I encounter so this statement made wonder if I have expressed it strongly enough to Frank. I hope I have Frank.

Ha-ha, thank you :-)

I changed the Danish character in TourStart, exported from TourStart, but did still not work, but then removed following

Code: Select all

from the line below

Code: Select all

Tur 01 Stevns fyr fra Nivaa

..and then it just works when using TripManager to import the route to my XT..

I would say, the problem is TourStart, not TripManager

@HarryMJ

A little background regarding CDATA.
CDATA is needed when the data (in this case the tripname) contains XML characters. Think of < > & or "". LT GT Ampersand Double quote. It is definitely not needed for Danish characters!
On the other hand it is NOT invalid to use CDATA, just unneeded and unexpected. Here is an url that probably explains it better. http://xml.silmaril.ie/cdata.html

Your remark about being CDATA the culprit and not the "A with circle" is correct. I had hoped that by not using that, Tourstart would not generate the CDATA, that's why I mentioned it.

Now, what's next?
- You say a bug in TourStart. I'm not sure. Even more unsure if they will fix it.
- I did some debugging and I'm quite sure I can fix it in TripManager. That will likely be the fastest. Agree?

Thank you for the explanation... I think you are right regarding TourStart, it is a 1-2 guys company here in Denmark.
- I agree, you will most likely be faster with a solution :-)

Just let me know if and when you will need some test feedback.

Here you go. Version V1.2.0.123 should fix it.

@Peobody
Also excluded way points from stripped routes.

I had a look at the site. Looks 'Scandinavian oriented' to me. Can you use it practically when you're not a 'pro user'? (We from Holland dont like to pay!)

@FrankB , is there any reason (recommendation?) to uninstall a previous version before installing a new one?
