Update.
For your information, my 3rd Zumo XT2 has now been running for over 3000 km without any failures.
I hope that the newer batches are better and that I will no longer have the problem with the touch.

It’s really interesting that the OG XT2 fails on some bikes and not others, twins seem to be worse affected than others - I really keen to see if the hardware update solves all the issues. I suspect that the issue had always been there and in true Garmin style, just ignored until a hardware revision has been issued. Had this with some of the Fenix series of Tri watches also. Endless Bluetooth connection problems until a revised hardware config was released.

Thanks for the update. Its good to know that you finally have it sorted.
What is the hardware version on your latest device please ?

Always I have noticed areas of the screen which do not respond readilt to touch. I put it down to gloved finger, but it didn't happen in the main part of the screen - the most obvious place was the top right corner.
More recently - similar behaviour when trying to select a segment in the route planner. No finger touch would register for a number of attempts. The screen also went into sluggish mode taking ages to refresh ang getting slower with time - as if it had a memory leak or similar behaviour with older computers 'Thrashing' shunting content out to virtual memory.

A complete reset cured it. I'm going to record evidence later today and get onto Garmin. I just wondered if it was related to your experience since my hardware is the same as yours was. This is not bike related - this is all at my desk.

Yes or No will do !
