XT2 turns off and restarts

I've had my XT2 for almost 2 weeks, mounted on R1250GSA. The XT2 will switch itself off and restart, commonly after 10-15minutes, sometimes immediately after turning on.
Unit was originally getting power from the BMW GPS plug (this worked fine for the Zumo XT) and now power is coming from the Hex Ezcan.
I'm going to do a full reset of the XT2.
I've seen some reports of similar issues on advrider forum.
Is anyone else experiencing this, interested in fixes.

Are you using any sort of adapter on the bmw nav prep or have you removed all of that?

connected directly to the zumo XT2 mount > hex ezcan > battery.
Nav prep removed.

I would be temptep to remove it from the hex ezcan and go directly to the battery and eliminate that

It might also be worth checking other accesories or accesory plugs as to whether they have power when it does cut out as it maybe the central electronics being overloaded and cutting out

there is never a "disconnected from power" message, before count down to shutting off/restart, like I would normally expect if the XT2 loses power.
It just turns off and then back on.

although, I will try putting a 'pad' behind the zumo power supply to see if that pushes the pins forward a little further, just in case that's the issue.

message from the XT2 retailer yesterday that Garmin are aware of issues with 'rebooting' and are working to fix it with update.
I'm 3hours into bike tear down and new installation of XT2 powered directly from battery via relay, with BMW GPS wire as 'trigger'.

same behaviour persisted despite power coming from battery, via relay. XT2 has been returned to retailer for replacement
