I've installed a more detailed map from OSM into Basecamp and onto my Zumo. Will the Zumo automatically choose the map that a route was made with in Basecamp as I don't see a way to select a map on the Zumo.?
Thanks.

Re: Map selection
No, the Zumo will not change the map automatically.
Activate the correct map in Settings>Map & Vehicle>myMaps.
Never have more than one routable map activated at a time for the region you are in, or you will see some strange behavior. Typically, the most obvious problems will be the loss of spoken navigation directions, and the display at the top of the screen not showing distance and direction of the next turn. So when you check the box to activate the OSM map, uncheck the box for the City Navigator map.
I've also found that OSM maps often do not have the correct name on the XT. It's not a major problem if you only have one OSM map, but it can be hard to guess that "USA_27351211,USA_27351212,USA_27351214,USA_2736" is actually "Southwest USA Topo". The JavaWa Device Manager (https://www.javawa.nl/jdm_en.html) will let you rename the maps if necessary.

Re: Map selection
In my maps I have the maps listed under the heading of update maps ,there is nothing else.I can only choose which of the maps gets updated,no option to choose map to use.
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Map selection
It's ok, I've sorted it by leaving the map I want to use ticked under the map update heading.
Thanks again for pointing me to it.

Re: Map selection
Now totally baffled, the osmap displays on the Garmin and is listed as installed but when the Zumo is connected to pc and Basecamp is open the Zumo is listed as only having the city nav Europe map?
Re: Map selection
Not all maps installed on a device have the correct flag set to enable them to be seen in BaseCamp. You can change that using JaVaWa's device Manager
