Freeing up internal storage BMW Nav V

Post by Itchy »

Hi Folks
Can anybody help or tell me or point me in the right direction to an already posted link.
I want to free up some internal storage in my Nav V unit, 7.5gb of the 8gb is full.
Can i remove the maps from the internal storage they are also on the sd card in the nav.
What will happen if i do?
Will this free up internal storage?
The unit functions perfectly well and i can send routes from basecamp to sd card then import them into internal storage at the moment so do i need to free up storage?
What will happen if internal storage fills completely?

Most importantly how do i remove the maps.

Thanks
Itchy

Take a look at Javawa's device manager from here: https://www.javawa.nl/english.html

Simplest way is to move the junction view file to the card, although you really have no need to do so as the free space you have is fine. If you do move the .jcv file it's in the hidden .system folder and should be placed in a folder named Garmin\JCV on the card.
