Supported Music File Formats?

For the 396 is it just mp3? Is there a list of supported formats?

All the Garmin devices that I've had 660, 590 and 595 only support MP3 so will guess that it's the same for the 396.

Yeah, mp3 format only, maybe mp4 I dunno. I used a free web based music converter to change from wma that I (mostly) had to mp3 and put them on the SD card. There was another app I messed with for a while, it made the volume of all the songs the same, very helpful.
