Problems routing with Garmin North America 2019.20 maps?
Problems routing with Garmin North America 2019.20 maps?
I did a 4 day road trip last week using my Zumo 660 with the current Garmin map. I noticed a couple times it routed me incorrectly, then told me I was off route. First time it routed me on the wrong highway at a split (both map and voice wrong), in the second instance it showed the correct route on the map (continue straight), but instructed me to make a turn right at an intersection. Anybody else have this happen? If so any solution?

Re: Problems routing with Garmin North America 2019.20 maps?
I had the issue with the 2019.10 maps. I just recently took a 1,000 mile four day trip (using by 665) and it did not have any issues. I also have a 660 and have used it several times when the 665 was messed up with the bad maps on 2019.10.
Are you sure you are using the 2019.20 maps?
What software are you using to generate your route?

It was using the CN North America NT 2019.20 maps. I had downloaded them just before my trip. In the first case I used the Zumo's find recent to calculate the 244 kilometer route, in the second I used the POI to find the closest fast food place for lunch (about 20 kilometers). So it wasn't an issue between Basecamp & the Zumo...

Re: Problems routing with Garmin North America 2019.20 maps?
The issue I had with the 2019.10 Maps and the update that followed (2019.15 I think) was a real nightmare. The route would be there but no voice prompts.
In one case, coming for Alabama to Georgia, when crossing the border where it is time zone change, the same thing happened. It was really strange and made the trip a little less enjoyable.
When I was about 30 miles from home, I just told it to go home and it said home was 200 miles away.
All these issues went away when I updated the maps to 2019.20. But, it is possible that you have 2019.20 maps on the machine and the older map version (if you updated to 2019.10 or 15) as well. I noted that my GPS had two map versions and I could check the one I wanted (or thats they way I remember it).

Thanks for the advice! I did the master reset and tried my first route again. Watching closely, the Zumo indicated stay left to avoid a double lane offramp, and immediately after keep right at the highway split. So, although confusing, more or less the correct directions.
