BirdsEye not working

Post by fortizgarcia »

Hi, I'm trying to download BirdsEye images from my new Garmin XT, and I can't do it. I tried directly on the device via WiFi and via Basecamp, but it always shows that "unable to connect to BirdsEye Imagery servers. No active subscription found".
Has anyone found the same problem? Do I need to activate the BirdsEye account in anywhere?
Thanks and regards.
Francisco.

I downloaded birdseye imagery back in March when my XT arrived, with no issues whatsoever, so I can only assume it has become problematic in recent times. I have not tried it recently.

Works fine on my XT, Birdseye should be included, on Basecamp it appears different where there seems to be a years subscription linked in with your XT.

Good evening all.... just joined the forum, mainly to get some feedback on the new XT.

I had one for about three days.... could not get Birdseye working after doing all the usual things, updates and so on via Express and then it wanted some more when connected to Basecamp....

Still no joy, so in a moment of frustration, contacted Garmin......

Went through the usual somewhat frustrating exchange of device settings, update checks, software versions and so on....

They asked me to send it back to Sportsbikeshop, which I did, having factory reset it first.... got my RMA and it was collected by the courier.

So, waiting for my next, new, Garmin XT to arrive from SBS.

Have to say, up to a point I was very impressed, some issues with getting routes in from Basecamp, I was more used to Tyre as my BC was not working properly. Had it for years, having a 660 and a Nuvi before that.

Finally found out why BC wasn't working so reinstalled it and a newer set of maps and got it working.... was still having some issues with it but found that if I created a route in Tyre, then opened it with BC, it now seems to work.

Just never got Birdseye to work with the same errors reported in this thread.

Will let you all know if and when I get my new unit I can get it working on there.
