Replacement Mounting Bracket

Post by Ray N. »

UPS just delivered a replacement mounting bracket for my Zumo XT. It seems to fit a little snugger.

If you are losing power at the mount, have you checked the pins on the power lead? People are reporting issues losing them or them becoming damaged.

Garmin are replacing some early mounts, as they were giving a loose fit to the main unit - not as a result of power loss problems.

I'll have a check when I get time. The unit also moves slightly in the mount. I don't know why they have the cable separate from the mount. I did manage to get a video of the problem to send to Garmin. It's frustrating not being able to TALK to someone.

What was your problem talking to them? Did you call the freephone number 0808 238 0000 or the standard 03708 501242?

02380524000 was the number I had. Tried the freephone number yesterday and got through.
The support team had stopped responding to my emails on the 27th may.

Not sure where that number came from, the two I posted are the official Garmin ones. Glad you got it resolved though.

Turns out the order was raised on the old part number, hence not sent out.
Then an order was raised that required me to pay postage. (£5.99). So another phone call and an order was raised without the postage. 24 hours later it still isn't showing as shipped.

Finally recieved the replacement mount 44 days after the original email. Mind you I was lucky to get it at all, it was sent via UPS.
