Hi,
Does anyone know if there's any way to receive Waze alerts on the XT (since the Drive app doesn't let us choose which apps we want to receive notifications from like Smartphone Link does)?
And, if Waze will work with the screen off (Android 10 smartphone).
Thanks

Re: Waze Alerts on the XT
haven't tried, but waze alerts are not notifications, so not sure it would work
i see the XT display many things from my phone, but they all have a notification, on the phone, say in the pull down notifications.
hope that makes sense, have yet to take more than a few sips of coffee lol

It was good if we could choose which apps we want to receive notifications from. Honestly, can't understand Garmin's decision.JS_racer wrote:haven't tried, but waze alerts are not notifications, so not sure it would work

Re: Waze Alerts on the XT
if you could choose wyze, it wouldn't make any difference, right ??
i don't see it as a big issue, my notifications bar doesn't get filled with junk anyways.
if something pops up, hit the X or it will clear on its own...

Never tried. Maybe we could listen to Waze calling attention for something through the headset.JS_racer wrote:if you could choose wyze, it wouldn't make any difference, right ??

The fact that you don't receive many notifications, doesn't mean that it's the same with everyone.
It should let us choose which apps we want to receive notifications from, and that way we could activate the notifications only for an specific app (like home security system)
