Off or power save?

Post by groundhog719 »

Any to tell if the XT is in "Off" or "Power Save" mode?

And . . . when it is removed from the mount does it go into "off" or "power saving"?

Well when it loses power from the bike it always says something like "Device will turn of in 20 seconds"
By that I have always assumed that is what it does, and not go into power save mode.

Guess I haven't payed attention to it right after I removed it. So I just tried it and found that mine says "will check for updates and turn off" when removed. However, from there it will come back on with a quick press of the power button and doesn't need to boot up - it comes on immediately. That indicates that it just goes to power save mode when disconnected from the mount.

Wish there was some sort of indicator when it is in power save mode. When I am mot going to use it for a week or so I would like it to be off rather than in power save.

If it's the same logic as the Montana 680, press and hold the power button and the unit will turn off after about 2 seconds.

When contact go off, he go in standby. Power off need to push the on/off button for a few seconds till you see the red button. The choose OFF.
