Re: "Faster Time" over 100 mph/
When I zoomed in, I could see that I had dropped a point on a road that was geographically close to the intended one, but a long ways by road. It appeared to be including getting to and from that point in the miles, but not in the time. "Faster time" should not mean above the speed limit.

"Faster Time" over 100 mph/
I bought a new SD card to hold just the files for an upcoming trip, and imported all the routes to check the distances against Basecamp, as recommended by a certain Basecamp guru at NER. Most of the rides were within a mile or so, but an alternative route I developed for one leg comes up as 88.9 ...

Re: Ordering parts?
I needed the rubber grommets. I got ahold of a Garmin associate and was able to order a hardware replacement kit for under six dollars, cheap enough.

Ordering parts?
When I went to install the Motopump lock, I discovered I was missing some of the mounting hardware. I searched online and got connected to "JustAnswer", with someone or something responding immediately and telling me I just need to join for $1, which was "fully refundable". At that point ...

Re: Problem pinning me down?
If mapping references are embedded in the GPX file, how is the level of file sharing occurring nowadays possible? People are using vastly different apps to create the files, and they can't be counting on everyone to be running the same exact map releases they created them with.

Re: Problem pinning me down?
Why would I avoid unpaved? I love a good dirt road! I understand setting my Zumo to match Basecamp, I thought I had them in sync, as I recall there is a setting in Express to update them together? At any rate, I did have 2023.2 on BC and 2022.something or other on XT, but both are 2024.1 now. It's ...

Re: Problem pinning me down?
Nobody? I observed this again on a ride a couple of evenings ago. It seems it often predicts a turn (the instruction at the top of the screen) as being much further away than it actually is, yet the display of my location on the map seems accurate.

Problem pinning me down?
I upgraded from a 396 to an XT this winter, and after using the XT a few times, I've noticed it forecasting my next turn accurately in terms of the road name, but off on the distance by up to 3 miles. Last night I went for a ride and noticed the display correctly showed me at an intersection, but ...
