Re: Baaad News! :-(
I guess “Life Time” maps doesn’t mean YOUR life time (the customer), it means the life time of the maps.

Re: Creating A Track Or Route For The Paul Bunyan State Trail
A track is better only because it doesn’t recalculate, so it won’t accidentally shift you around. It’s also able to take you through water crossings and areas that a route will not take you. The track will not announce any directions. It simply lays still on the map. A route is better in that it can ...

Re: Export route to a table format
We have a 28 day trip planned in Europe. Some of my days have up to 9 Waypoints. There was no way for me to remember all these days and all the various waypoints for each of the days. So, what I did was print an 8 1/2 x 11 for each day and list the waypoints in a numerical list and then place a ...

You can move the map folder to the Garmin folder on the card. Move the JCV folder there too. If you delete it you'll lose junction views. For the SID folder you won't gain much so just leave it, you can clear our the older files if you have a lot there but leave the latest one of each type. What is ...

Re: Google Satellite View
You have to export the file and select a .kml file type.
When google earth is open, you can just drag and drop the .kml file to the earth.

^^^Yup. Free up space is what I am trying to do. Thanks. This is a screenshot of what is in the Garmin unit. I haven’t moved or deleted anything yet. I’m going to move the entire “Map” folder to the sd card. Before I move it, I’m going to make a folder in the sd card named “Garmin”. That’s where I’ll ...

Re: Identical Maps?? Garmin Zumo 595LM 95% Full!
I just read through all 5 pages of this post. I have a 590 and am also looking at removing the internal files on the unit’s hard drive. I have a pc (not a Mac). It would be nice to have this as a step by step process, but I will thumb through the previous posts again and take notes. I’m afraid of wre ...
