Re: Zumo XT mount & charging issues

I also have a charging issue when connected to mount, it goes straight to battery mode. If I connect via USB it charges. The mount is wired to an ignition live connector and the 3rd pin on the mount is showing 5.14v when ignition on. I went into the diagnostic screen (see below) and see that when ...

Maps corrupted after update

Did an update last night, and now getting Maps are Corrupted message despite both the XT and the Garmin Express advise everything is up to date.

Have gone to Express and done updates, but still corrupted. Refreshed City Navigator 2024.10 maps but still displaying corrupted maps! What more can I do?

Re: Annoying screen rotation.

Thanks.

I think I follow your explanation of the panning mode.

I'll see how I get on being more diligent of how I touch the screen with my fingers.

Re: Annoying screen rotation.

Thanks for the reply. The unit is in 3D mode but the issue I am relating to happens whatever mode it is set to, 3D, North Up or Track Up. However, it's best that I explain the operational mode where I find the issue, as it may well be that I am expecting too much? I go to Trip Planner and open a ...

He has the predecessor to the 396/346 series GPS.

gpx files

I have created a route in Basecamp with around 20 non alerting points which has then been saved as a gpx file. I have then e-mailed this to a friend who is using an earlier Garmin GPS. He has downloaded it and checked that the route is OK? My question is that as a gpx file, will the non alerting ...

Re: Annoying screen rotation.

In all likelihood, you are using the pinch to zoom function and zooming out past the point where the XT switches the orientation to "North" up. Same thing happens when you use the + or- button to zoom in and out. Not sure if there is any way to prevent this, but that is my guess as to what is ...

Annoying screen rotation.

I have the XT set for Landscape mode, so this is not a problem of the screen switching between Landscape and Portrait mode. When 'pinching' or 'separating' your fingers to reduce or increase the resolution of the screen it annoyingly very often rotates the screen by around 90 deg's making it very ...

Re: WARNING - Garmin Zumo XT hot-shoe connector weakness

I bought a Zumo XT few weeks ago. Haven't had any issues. Should I contact Garmin to get a new connector? Do they charge for them? If you only bought it a few weeks ago it will most likely have the updated mount already. If you look at the front face you should see what looks like a piece of ...
