Re: What other forums?

These forums have been helpful to me: https://www.mountainbuzz.com/ https://telemarktalk.com/index.php When I was looking for tips for my travel to Argentina, I found this site, https://gowithguide.com/argentina on the forums, and some members suggested it. I tried it, and I don't regret it; my prev...

Re: GPS For Wife

The Garmin Drive Smart 66 and 86 are both user-friendly GPS options with lifetime maps. The Drive Smart 66 might be more suitable for a smaller car like a 2016 Subaru Forester, as the 8" screen on the Drive Smart 86 could be a bit large and obstructive. Both models should have sufficient memory...

Re: Zumo 390 issue

Have you tried a factory reset? If that doesn't work, since your device isn't supported anymore, looking into a newer model might be your best bet for stability and updated features.

Re: Zoom in on City Navigator Europe SD card

It seems your Zumo 390LM's map in Portugal isn't zooming in as detailed as your North America map does back home in Canada, despite similar settings. Have you updated the European map or checked for Zumo firmware updates? Sometimes these updates resolve display issues like this. If not, contacting G...

Re: Is this RUT?

RUT here stands for "Repetitive U-Turns," and I get how frustrating it is when your XT2 keeps insisting on unnecessary loops. Garmin's response that it's "by design" isn't much help either. One thing you could try is manually skipping waypoints affected by closures in your route ...

Re: New type of "Routing Point"

I understand your point. An alerting feature for shaping points could greatly improve the navigation experience. It seems advantageous for the automatic handling of points of interest along a path, eliminating manual input, particularly when choosing to stick with the current route or opt for anothe...

Re: Does my Zumo XT have to be plugged in to plan routes?

For maximum resolution in the UK on your Zumo XT, TopoActive Europe West is your go-to map. To access these maps without the device plugged in, you'll typically need to use Garmin's online portal or BaseCamp software on your computer.

Re: New type of "Routing Point"

I agree, "Alerting Shaping Points" would be a valuable feature to have. It would provide notifications for points of interest while allowing flexibility to skip them if needed, enhancing the overall navigation experience.
