Re: Handlebar Controller for XT2

It just means I pressed the option to set the short press function. Most all of them are available as a long or short press. I was just trying to show the setting options available.

Re: Handlebar Controller for XT2

Got everything installed and working today. Power cord comes with about 10 feet of wire which was way too long for my setup and difficult to stow so I cut off most of it. Controller works quite nicely and as advertised. When you start up the bike/nav it takes a few moments before the controller ...

Re: Handlebar Controller for XT2

If anyone gets their hands on one of these handlebar remotes - I wonder if you would mind posting some dimensions please ? I have a Honda ST1300 Pan European - which has no handlebar visible. I want to find out if my Heath-Robinson attempt at a bracket (2nd pic, post#1) will actually do the job ...

Re: Handlebar Controller for XT2

I just hooked up the controller without the high-current power cable. So far the controller and the GPS is working fine with just the Group Ride Radio Y-adapter cable. I only tried it because the power cable hadn't arrived yet and I was anxious to see how it works. I just fed 12V into the Y-adapter ...

Re: Handlebar Controller for XT2

Just so no one feels stupid, I just called Garmin to ask about cabling this thing and the tech couldn't figure it out either and told me to, "just buy both cables and if you don't need one send it back and let us know." From what has been described above and is obviously correct, both cables are ...
