Re: help
I’ve tried headset to Zumo direct but I don’t always ride with the sat nav which means I’d have to reconfigure the pairing when I leave the Zumo at home but still want music etc. Also, I don’t think Siri will work when routed via the Zumo. Works fine most of the time especially if I’m consistent with ...

595 USB connection
The USB on my 590 is a bit hit and miss, both in terms of charging and connectivity functions. I use a separate twin USB charger (I already had installed).

But that disables music entirely. I just want it to not play music in my pocket when I power up the sat nav.Lord Julian wrote:To stop the Auto music change the settings for music to aux-jack plug rather than Bluetooth

New 395 won't power up. On the road and without my routes...
I guess they’re all using the same type of battery/connector so will have the same issues.
In a pinch (on the road) I’d lightly push a thin pin into the connector holes (as others have mentioned).

Re: Zumo repair in UK
Just thinking again, if it was only impact damage, it can’t have done too much damage to the internals. If the connector repair has been done correctly then that can only mean input protection has taken a hit (when the connections moved). If Garmin won’t touch it, don’t bin it... Re: Zumo repair in UK
Sounds like the main board then. There might be some input protection that may have limited the damage but you won’t know until you open it up.
I’d check with Garmin first, see if they’ll repair it.
