Hi,
I have recently updated my XT, both the software and map updates.
It won’t navigate to any destination anymore, it was fine a few days ago before the update.
I didn’t connect it to a laptop but just connected it to my home Wi-Fi
Anyone had this problem ?

What do you mean it won't navigate to your destination?
As in the destination is wrong or the navigation is not working

If I ride the bike the XT works fine as a moving map display but, any attempt to enter a destination and ride using a route, is met with a “cannot calculate route” message

The Garmin manual just says do the map update again,making sure it is not interrupted.
What it does NOT say is how you actually do that when the XT thinks it’s software and maps are up to date. There doesn’t appear to be a way of re-updating it.

I'm always very cautious about updates. Had different problems after it on the previous navs.
If it does what you need and there's no new useful functions added - don't just update it.
Maybe you should reset the unit if it doesn't help, call Garmin support for reinstalling the maps.

I updated it as I was in central London with a lot of new 20mph zones which mine was still saying were 30mph……wish I had left it as it was

Most of the time with issues like this a factory reset sorts it out
I would also try connecting it to a computer and using garmin express to re install the update

My son has been helping with his laptop and Garmin express but…..we still don’t know how to do the full factory reset…..do you know how ?
