Aup All. I am competent user of basecamp for many years with Montana. When I connect my zumoXT to basecamp, it does not see the device.
The device does show up on Garmin express so the cable & computer is recognising it.
I am trying to send some OSM Topo maps to the device but again Garmin Mapinstall does not see the device!!
I have tried connecting/ disconnecting , powering off and on both device and computer with no joy......
Can anyone help me out here????
Cheers.

Paulo464,
Does this post on the Garmin forum help any? It sounds similar to what you describe.

Re: XT and Basecamp on Mac book pro.
Thanks Jim, BC did. eventually recognise XT but then moved at glacial speed so no use really. I am now trying through an SD card, been on it two days and still no luck, cant seem to get the SD card to show up on the XT......

Re: XT and Basecamp on Mac book pro.
I'm confused. Are @paulo464 and @clayto464 the same person ?
Have owned Zumo 550, 660 == Now have Zumo XT2, XT, 595, 590, Headache
Use Basecamp (mainly), MyRouteApp (sometimes), Competent with Tread for XT2, Can use Explore for XT - but it offers nothing that I want !
Links: Zumo 590/5 & BC . . . Zumo XT & BC

Thanks Jim and everyone who posted the solution to Zumo XT not being recognized by Basecamp. Finding out about and turning off the automatic Garmin Express start up did the trick for me.
