Cannot Update Zumo 660 Beyond 2015.20

Have you tried using MapInstall, rather than Express ?

I installed it, I couldn't figure out how to use it to solve my issue. It didn't seem to have any option to aquire latest map data

Try updating to the 2015 map then run Express again. See what it then does.

This was the first time thing I tried. Took over an hour to do the update but it just installed the exact same version that was already on there. Still the only option is 2015.20

Then perhaps you don't have lifetime maps, many early Garmin devices didn't. A call to Garmin should confirm that either way.

This is starting to sound like the most likely explanation. What are the options in this case? Saw a YouTube with instructions for installing OpenStreetMap data, anyone found that to be a useful alternative?

It's not as good for on road navigation as the Garmin maps. However I would contact Garmin to check first. If indeed the unit doesn't have lifetime maps you can normally purchase a lifetime subscription

The last Lifetime Maps I purchased came from ebay for less than 1/2 of what Garmin wanted. Worked perfectly for at least 10 yrs until I quit updating the nuvi I had.

Seems like Garmin have stopped providing map updates for many older devices

So I wonder if I connected up my 665 that won't update to a computer that has latest maps, would map install work to update maps? If only I knew someone near Baltimore, MD with latest msps that I could try this.

No, maps are locked to specific devices
