BaseCamp includes MapInstall so works exactly the same.
Uploading OSM maps onto Zumo 660
Re: Uploading OSM maps onto Zumo 660
What I'm saying is that I didn't use Basecamp or Mapsource to load the OSM maps to my 660.
Re: Uploading OSM maps onto Zumo 660
I know seem to remember that I read that you do not need to use any install software.
You simply name the data "gmapsupp.img and drag and drop using Explorer or Mac Finder
Newer Garmins can have the map named anything, but the 660 and other older ones needs the name to be just that.
I am how from my training / travels now...and looks like I am now unemployed... so might have a play again in the next few days.
I do remember and now see I have copy on the computer of a map from Freizeitkarte
http://www.freizeitkarte-osm.de/garmin/ ... uropa.html
those downloads are supplied with an installer of some sort or the complete img that you just drag and drop..possibly need to rename
Looking only BaseCamp..and also on mapInstall, they appear on their too..so looks like Must have used the installer in the past.
This guy too offers paid OSM maps that he will do an awful lot for you ...

Yes
I just created a download from BBBIKE.
Just renamed it gmapsupp.img and put it in a folder named garmin (all lower case) on an SD card.
I actually also used JavWa Device managed to change the displayed name…to Fra NW & CI OSM
