CN NA NT 2026.10 is available

GE just advised me that CN NA NT 2026.10 was an available map update. I'm typing this while trying to decided if I want to proceed considering I just revised and reloaded all of the local routes that I like to keep on my XT.

I just did the update and Express failed miserably the first time. I got the dreaded "no detailed maps" error when my XT rebooted. So I tried again and all went well. Would WiFi have been a better choice? No way for me to tell.

As for updating all my stored routes, I take a lazy approach and update them only when I know I will be using them. Will this leave me stranded on the road with outdated routes some day? Maybe.

I'm the opposite, wanting to identify and fix any route changes made by the new map auto-calculation process.

I tend not to update at all until those hoppin' to it let us know of any problems. My riding style doesn't include detailed planning of much of anything other than a route, and really, the roads don't change all that much from update to update.
