Hi .
I have managed to format my 660 internal drive.
I have managed to get it booting again but without the maps.
Garmin express will not recognise the Zumo so i cannot update the maps.
as an experiment I copied the system files from a Nuvi 550 to the zumo. garmin express then recognised it as a nuvi 550.
There was an old thread on here to fix this problem but now the links do not work.
Any one know where I can get the system files I need?
Cheers.
Paul.

Thank you.
I am not sure which files I need.
I will look in to it further.
Cheers.

Hallo Tigger,
Vorab vielen Dank,
Gruß,
Alph

Hello Tigger,
I think I have a similar problem.
I accidentally formatted the internal drive and now the Zumo is no longer recognized on the USB port
and therefore not displayed in Garmin Express.
I can start Zumo and change settings, but I can no longer perform updates.
Was that the same for you?
Maybe you can help me.
Thank you in advance,
Greeting,
Alph

Re: Zumo 660 system files wanted.
I also have a 660 Zumo with program problems. Having checked the capacity of the memory I updated the 660 with a map of Germany, which was the last release from Garmin. It appears that the file was bigger than stated on the website. The update proceed to load the new map but deleted some of the system files in the process. The 660 now only shows major routes and no detailed information of streets, so it appears that I have lost part of City Navigator. I have the original DVD with this program but the Zumo demands a 16 digit key, which I do not have. Can anyone help with my problem or sell me a 16 digit key or DVD with the key so I can reload City Navigator?
