See Settings→ Device→ About

The Windows Express version number is found by clicking the Gear icon in Express and then clicking About.

I don't know how the Mac version is found, Macs are weird. ;)
I just checked About and yes it shows 6.60...
As for Express, I just checked Get Info and it is indeed 7.25.0
Thanks for clearing that up for me!

It will if, and this is the important part, Express put them there and they haven't been renamed or moved or altered in any way since Express did so. Otherwise Express won't touch them.
I haven't altered them in any way. Thanks
Then as @danham mentioned they are probably corrupted in some way, if so Express can't delete them. Bear in mind many folks, me included, add numerous maps to our devices, and Express isn't designed to operate on any map that may be installed, just maps that it has correctly put there and that haven't been altered in any way by the user. If you're unsure what can and cannot be deleted you could list all the files here with their name, extension and size, and their folder location, and we can advise what can and cannot be deleted.

Thanks for the help.... One thing for sure, I haven't altered any of Garmins maps. If they're corrupted, Garmins software did so. As far as going into Garmins hidden file system removing this and that got me in trouble before. It cost me another Garmin unit and lot's of time. I've used Garmin GPS's since the 276c came out years ago while using Mapsource. "Never" had an issue with Garmin's software on a PC. I could make a single 4000 mile route and never have to worry about how many waypoints I used. As you know, Garmin is Intel based for the Windows platform which still seems to work good for most. As for their software for us Mac owners, I.M.O. they dropped the ball. It's like using software from decades ago. Yes, it was my decision to buy another unit from them and suffer through there software.... that's totally on me. Simply put, I like their products but, their software sucks for Mac user's especially BC.
For now, I'm not comfortable in removing Garmins hidden files. If I have issues on this big trip (approx 5000 miles) I'll probably not be so relunctant in doing so. I trust and know that you guys have the knowledge along with experience in taking care of this issue. It's not you, it's me. I sincerely appreciate you along with many other's here on the forum. This forum as a whole has helped me tremendously through the years. This forum is nothing less than awesome. Thanks. Ray
