So what I am struggling to understand is why, on Axamax's earlier post, is the 595 £120 more expensive than the new XT

Re: New Garmin Zumo XT
No mention of the USB being USB 3 which is really too bad given how long it takes to load maps.

Garmin went back to USB Mini because it is a more robust connector than either the USB micro or USB C.

Re: New Garmin Zumo XT
If you look at Garmin's site the 595 is still at £549 under previous models. I expected the XT to come in at £550 to £600.

Updating its supplied mapping is via its built in Wi-Fi.RadioFlyer wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2020 9:14 pm No mention of the USB being USB 3 which is really too bad given how long it takes to load maps.

Are you saying that it can't be done via USB? If so then another reason I would avoid.Oop North John wrote:Updating its supplied mapping is via its built in Wi-Fi.RadioFlyer wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2020 9:14 pm No mention of the USB being USB 3 which is really too bad given how long it takes to load maps.

I see 'in the box' there's a data cable so sounds like there's still USB connection.RadioFlyer wrote: ↑Mon Mar 09, 2020 1:30 pmAre you saying that it can't be done via USB? Would be nice to see USB 3!
