Hi to all
Building a route, I look that in my area (North of Italy) not all the street is present in Garmin Maps ( i have already Updated it).
For this reason i tryed to install the OSM Maps because i find in it those route.
All it works, but the maps and expecially the reserch of any location, is very slow respect in the other maps.
I installed the maps with Garmin Basecamp, and i understend that it was installed in the SD Card, Class U1.
Depend about the SD Card.
Any suggestion?
Thank you
OSM Map a little slow

Re: OSM Map a little slow
If you download OSM maps, in that mapfile there is always a gmapsupp.img image, this file is for the sd card. Just drag and drop, and no installation from basecamp or mapinstall.
Re: OSM Map a little slow
The map i downloaded is a .exe file to install in Win10.
I use it also in Basecamp.

A little late - but also, make sure that you turn off the maps that Garmin provide. It will let you have all of them ticked in MyMaps, but it does weird things if they are (like navigate you in straight lines across open fields).
You will lose accurate timing information as the OSM maps do not have the speed limit information (or they didn't when I downloaded mine).

Have owned Zumo 550, 660 == Now have Zumo XT2, XT, 595, 590, Headache
Use Basecamp (mainly), MyRouteApp (sometimes), Competent with Tread for XT2, Can use Explore for XT - but it offers nothing that I want !
