Hello all. Recently signed up as I'm trying with little-to-no success to switch from a nuvi I've been using for a long time to a Zumo 595. I've been reading & searching for about 2 weeks now and cannot find what I'm looking for. So here goes:

Is it possible to "clean up" the Zumo display? I find that often it's so cluttered with fuel station & restaurant icons that I often can't see the roads underneath them.

You can switch off the Up ahead feature in Map Layers if you find them distracting.

Ah, got it! Made me realize the differences in terminology from my old nuvi and what each thing does. I hate user manuals like this- tells you how to do things but not what that thing is or does.

Now I'm trying to add an additional point to a route I'm running. I get "Touch the Screen" and when I do it says "Pick a Valid Point". Somehow I was able to add a point one time but I can't repeat it. I think I figured out from the one time it worked for me that the user's manual is totally screwy on this- I see nothing of what it says I will see.

Should be in Settings, Map & Vehicles, Map layers

I found it, I must have gone past it 3 or 4 times.
