Playing, I have installed everything according to the scheme that was shared on the forum. Trying different options. The feel of the buttons is very good. :)

Thanks for posting those @turbo19 .

Please excuse me (ab)using my moderator privileges and copying the images to twist them through 90 deg).
It looks like a really good fit on your bars.

Mine will be here next week - but Its a surprise. It'll be an even bigger one when the cables come 5 weeks later. I'm not in a rush though. The entire fairing will have to come off to replace the wiring harness.
Have owned Zumo 550, 660 == Now have Zumo XT2, XT, 595, 590, Headache
Use Basecamp (mainly), MyRouteApp (sometimes), Competent with Tread for XT2, Can use Explore for XT - but it offers nothing that I want !

Excellent point. Mine comes today and I'm going to use it.

For restrict voltage for remote controller, may be enough simple circuit with Zener diode?

It occurred to me ... can somebody to measure the voltage in Y-cable in micro-USB connector for the Remote control? Maybe there is only 5V in the cable from XT2 to remote controller, then the new power cable would be unnecessary.

The problem I had was with the plug. I couldn't find a similar one. I didn't dare cut the Y cable (to put in another plug).

I have several electronic friends, and they have sent me plugs that are similar but never the same. Maybe some manufacturer makes them exclusively for Garmin.

If you find the male plug needed to feed the Y cable, please tell us what model and reference it is ;)

I'm lazy, I'll take the path of least resistance. I won't be afraid to cut it. :-)
