Greetings again,
I installed the Garmin Drive app on my Android phone and it all works fine.
While not using Drive, I noticed my battery draining faster than normal. I turned off "Allow Background Activity" for Drive and it still remains the app that uses the most power of all apps - and it's not even in use. This makes no sense to me.
So I uninstalled it. I will only install if going on a long trip when having text messages, email, and weather radar, etc. is handy. The basic functions I need for local riding work fine without Drive.
Has anyone else noticed the same battery drain issue?
Thanks

Re: Garmin Drive App - Battery Drain
My Huawei phone warns me the 'Drive' app is using a lot of power & lets me 'force stop' it.

Wow, just checked mine and found the same. Must try and find out why.
Re: Garmin Drive App - Battery Drain
Think you confound Garmin Drive with the older 'Smartphone Link' - there is no option for battery management in the settings of Garmin Drive...

I tried to Force Stop the Drive App but it ignores my request to stop. The only option I have is to uninstall it. This is on Android 11.
